Gallatin Steel has again been recognized as one of the healthiest companies in America by Chicago-based Interactive Health Solutions. IHS is a nationwide provider of population health management programs. Gallatin Steel is one of only three organizations out of 1,500 to receive this award three years in a row. The plant received the award for excellence in employee health, citing clinical results across an index of key health indicators including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and triglyceride levels. Gallatin Steel is a flat-rolled carbon steel producer based in Ghent.

The Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants has recognized the following members for their outstanding volunteer service as chairpersons of society committees. Frances Ford of Spaulding University, BASE Camp Task Force; Eric Shadowens of Rueff and Associates, small business committee; Mark Lloyd of Greenebaum Doll & McDonald, editorial board; Stephen Custer, attorney, tax committee; William Jessee of Henderman Jessee & Co., insurance committee.

One Alliance Communications has been selected for the 2010 Best of Lexington Award in the public relations counselors category by the U.S. Commerce Association. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that it considers to have achieved exceptional marketing success in their community and business category.
