CKF Bancorp, the parent company of Danville-based Central Kentucky Federal Savings Bank, has reported higher earnings of $55,555 for its second quarter. A year ago, the bank earned $4,054 for the same period. Its performance in that year-ago period was affected by a one-time special assessment of Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation premiums, according to a news release.
Earnings per share were 5 cents for the second quarter, up from 1 cent in the same quarter in 2009. The company operates banks in Danville and Lancaster. CKF's stock trades over the counter as CKFB.
