Because of the seasonal nature of Florida travel, AirTran is suspending its flights from Blue Grass Airport to Fort Lauderdale this fall.
The service, which had been Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, will stop Aug. 11 and not resume until Nov. 3, said airport spokeswoman Amy Caudill.
"Fall traditionally tends to be a slower travel time," she said.
The airline's service to Orlando on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays will continue as usual, she said.
