The Lexington Public Library checked out 2,922,631 items during the fiscal year that ended in June. It was the largest circulation ever by the library and was up 5.5 percent compared to the previous fiscal year, according to a statement.
Books represented 77 percent of the total; video was 17 percent and music was 6 percent.
