The University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics will host its second green marketing conference on Dec. 3. The Sustainability in Marketing Colloquium, which is organized by the Von Allmen Center for Green Marketing, will be held at the UK Student Center.
The research to be presented focuses on how companies can pursue economic, social and environmental returns. The event's keynote speaker will be Matthew Sleeth, a former emergency room doctor who resigned to teach, preach and write about faith and the environment, according to a statement.
He is the author of Serve God and Save the Planet: A Christian Call to Action, The Introduction to the Green Bible and The Gospel According to the Earth: Why the Good Book is a Green Book.
Other presenters will discuss issues including market segments and social media.
The conference is open to the public. Fees are waived for UK employees and students who register by Nov. 2. For more information, visit gattongreen.uky.edu.
