Like a little Curlin for Christmas?

An original "Moneigh" painting by the two-time Horse of the Year goes up for auction beginning Sunday on eBay to benefit other retired Thoroughbred racehorses.

Curlin, who now stands at Lane's End Farm in Versailles, created an abstract in red and yellow this month using muzzle and paintbrush, and autographed it with a hoofprint.

The auction, which ends Dec. 5, also features works — some painted by whiskers and tails — by A.P. Indy, Awesome Again, Big Brown, Congaree, Dynaformer, Einstein, Giacomo, Point Given, Smarty Jones, and 11 others, including Molly the pony, who has an artificial leg. Many works include a lock of the horse's hair. An offering from Flower Alley also includes a Breeders' Cup saddlecloth.

Semi-annual auctions of Moneighs raise money for ReRun, which funds programs to rehabilitate horses coming off the racetrack so they can find homes and second careers.
