AT&T has opened a newly remodeled store in Lexington at 2160 Sir Barton Way in Hamburg Pavilion. The new store features a state-of-the-art, hands-on design and a "try before you buy" service experience. The store is managed by Heather Gatewood and employs a staff of 20. Hours: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1-6 p.m. Sunday. Phone: (859) 264-8240.

Lexington Equine Surgery and Sports Medicine, a client of the Bluegrass Small Business Development Center, has opened at the corner of Iron Works Pike and Georgetown Road. Dr. Bill Bernard presented the initial concept for an equine elective surgical facility to the Bluegrass Business Development Partnership in March 2007 where specialists worked with him on startup options and assisted with financial projections, a business plan, and financing development. The group veterinary referral practice will focus on outpatient medicine and elective surgery. The facility includes a 10-stall barn and office, two surgery suites, radiology and exam areas and recovery stalls. Equine orthopedic surgeon Dr. Wes Sutter has joined Bernard as a partner in the new venture. The long-term plan for the property is to develop an equine business park.
