Kentucky Bank: Bobby Shiflet has been named to the bank's regional board of directors for the Bourbon County market. Shiflet owns and operates Frames on Main Gallery, 630 Main Street in Paris.

Wealth Management of Kentucky: R.B. Slade has been named account executive, specializing in clients' wealth, at the company's Lexington branch.


Littler Mendelson: LaToi D. Mayo has been named a shareholder in the firm's Lexington office.


Bluegrass Crime Stoppers: Andrew DeSimone, a partner in the law firm of Sturgill, Turner, Barker & Moloney, has been elected chair of the board of directors.

Kentucky Bicycle and Bikeway Commission: Stites & Harbison attorney Bill Gorton of Lexington has been named chairman of the commission for a four-year term.

Lexington Medical Society: The following have been named officers for 2011: Dr. Farhad Karim, president; Dr. Richard L. Lozano, vice president; Dr. Ray M. Van Metre, secretary/treasurer; Dr. Bruce C. Broudy, president-elect; Dr. Thomas H. Waid, vice president-elect; Dr. Rice C. Leach, secretary/treasurer-elect.

Southeastern Conference (SEC): Joseph L. Fink III, professor of pharmacy in the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, and the university's faculty athletics representative to the SEC and the NCAA, has been appointed to the SEC's seven-member executive committee and will serve as secretary of the conference.

Gas Technology Institute: Kentucky Public Service Commission vice chairman Jim Gardner has been named to the institute's public interest advisory committee.

United Way of Kentucky: The following have been named to the board: Helen Carroll, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, chair; Phillip Johnson, Kellogg; Bryan Sunderland, Kentucky Chamber of Commerce; Joshua Wice, City of Florence; and Phil Osborne, Preston-Osborne.

Workers' Compensation Research Institute: Roger Fries, president and CEO of Kentucky Employers' Mutual Insurance, has been re-elected to the board of directors of the Boston-based organization. Fries has served on the board since 1996.


The Lexington Ballet Co.: Carol Anne Wilson has been named executive director of the ballet company, now in its 35th season.

Clark Material Handling Co.: Jonas Liening has been named inside sales coordinator.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky: Mike Price has been named vice president of administration.
