Steven and Richelle Bach of Bath County, winners of the Outstanding Young Farm Family contest at the Kentucky Farm Bureau, have been named runners-up in the American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers and Ranchers Achievement Awards. The Bachs were awarded a Case IH Farmall tractor for finishing as runners-up. The AFBF Achievement Award recognizes young farmers and ranchers who have excelled in their farming or ranching operations and exhibited superior leadership abilities.

Dale S. Ditto and John M. McIntosh, senior vice presidents and financial consultants with Hilliard Lyons in Lexington, have received the Qualified Kingdom Advisor designation from Atlanta-based Kingdom Advisors. Qualified Kingdom Advisors are individuals who have demonstrated themselves to be: believers in Jesus Christ, able to apply biblical wisdom in counsel, technically competent, ethical and of integrity, and biblical stewards.

Bob Hartman, club fitter and co-owner of Golf, Etc. in Nicholasville, has been named by Golf Digest as one of the Top 100 Fitters of the Year. Golf, Etc., the fastest-growing golf retail franchise in America, has a state-of-the-art custom fitting center.

Steve Keck and Michael Keck, president and vice president, respectively, of Five Talents Financial Group, have been awarded the Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor designation from the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors. They are two of 375 corporate financial advisers worldwide to have earned this certification. Five Talents is a full-service consulting firm based in Somerset.
