University of Kentucky: Warren O. Nash III has joined the university as director of the Lexington Innovation & Commercialization Center, part of the UK Office for Commercialization & Economic Development. Nash will assist UK researchers and Lexington-area entrepreneurs with business startup services such as planning, market research and financial planning.
S&ME: Cyndi Sims has joined the Lexington office of S&ME, formerly Qore Property Sciences, as a project engineer and project manager in the construction and materials testing department.
Farmers Capital Bank Corp.: C. Douglas Carpenter has been promoted to executive vice president, chief financial officer and secretary.
United Bank & Trust Co.: David O'Bryan, a director of the public accounting firm Blue & Co.'s Lexington office, has been appointed to the board of directors.
