An unknown number of Central Bank debit card users might notice a glitch in their accounts.
Central Bank executive vice president Stephen C. Kelly said the bank discovered that over the weekend and on Monday night some transactions had been accidentally posted twice, meaning cards were double billed.
Kelly said Tuesday that the bank had fixed the accounts but customers might see the corrected entry on their electronic records. He said customers would not be charged a fee if the double-billing caused an overdraft.
