J.Jill clothing retailer coming to Fayette Mall

Herald-Leader Staff Report

May 13, 2011 12:00 AM

Women's fashion retailer J.Jill is coming to Fayette Mall. The company will begin construction this summer in the spot that formerly belonged to bebe, which closed when its lease expired. That space is currently occupied temporarily by Arden B., which is switching spots with Caché. Caché is already open in Arden B.'s former space.

"We're excited J.Jill is coming because it's one of the emerging women's apparel clothing chains nationwide," said Fayette Mall spokeswoman Melissa Blackburn. "It's another clothing option in the market for our primary shoppers — women."

Founded in 1959, the Massachusetts-based company now has more than 200 stores nationwide.

Other changes at the mall include the opening of pet accessories and clothing store Moochie & Co., in the former Body Shop location near Dillard's. Also, Ann Taylor is undergoing renovation and has opened a temporary store in the former Verizon Wireless space in the Plaza at Fayette Mall near The Pub.
