The Danville area recently tied for 14th in Site Selection magazine's list of the top-performing small town areas in the country for new and expanding business projects in 2010. The Danville micropolitan statistical area, which includes Boyle and Lincoln counties, had six such projects, according to Site Selection's March issue.
Other Kentucky micropolitans earning a spot on the list are Campbellsville, Frankfort, Glasgow, Murray and Somerset, which all tied for 41st with three projects, followed by Corbin, London, Mayfield, Paducah and Richmond/Berea, which tied for 74th with two projects. The top micropolitan area in the country under the measure was Thomasville and Lexington, N.C., with 26 projects.
