Midway College: Avo Kiviranna, a University of Kentucky graduate with more than 50 years of experience in the equine industry, has been appointed equine studies division chair.

Eastern Kentucky University: Sara Zeigler, professor of political science at EKU since 2007, has been named dean of university programs.


ErMC2: Roy Thomas Allinder has been named senior project engineer. Allinder has more than 35 years of engineering experience.


Kentucky Bank: Billy Hough has been promoted to senior vice president, director of sales and services. Jeremy Brown has been named market president for the bank's Rowan County region.

U.S. Bank, Lexington: Joshua Lewis has been named commercial relationship manager. A Lexington native, Lewis previously worked in commercial banking at JP Morgan Chase and First National Bank Alaska.


Sturgill, Turner, Barker & Moloney: Lauren Armstrong Parsons has joined the firm as marketing director. A 2008 graduate of the UK College of Law, Parsons previously worked for Preston-Osborne Marketing Communications & Research.


Cornett Integrated Marketing Solutions: Christy Hiler has been promoted to chief strategic officer and David Coomer to chief creative officer.

Charles Stribling, occupational safety and health federal-state coordinator for the Kentucky Labor Cabinet's Department of Workplace Standards in Frankfort, has been appointed to the federal Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health.
