Kentucky will receive more than $800,000 as part of a settlement alongside 37 others states with pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithkline and SB Pharmco Puerto Rico. The $40.75 million settlement resolves allegations of substandard manufacturing.
The batches of the various drugs in question — Kytril, Bactroban, Paxil CR and Avandamet — were recalled years ago and are past their expiration dates, according to a statement from the Kentucky attorney general's office.
