■ Central Baptist Hospital recently qualified for the American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline Silver Performance Achievement Award. The award recognizes the hospital's commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients that effectively improves the survival and care of ST elevation myocardial infarction patients.

■ South Hill Gallery and Photo Therapy won first Place in the Framing Competition held by the KY/TN Chapter of the Professional Picture Framers Association in Nashville. Mike and Letha Drury's entry will be eligible to compete in the PPFA International Competition in January. Competitors all frame the same piece of art and are judged on the artistic design and technical execution, with high emphasis on preservation framing practices.
