Maker's Mark charity bottle available

Maker's Mark newest charity bottle is now on store shelves in Central Kentucky. The labels on the 18,000 bottles feature three generations of the Samuels family — Bill Samuels Sr., who relaunched the brand from dormancy in 1954; Bill Samuels Jr., who took over in 1975; and Rob Samuels, who succeeded his father earlier this year. Bill Samuels Jr. and Rob Samuels hand signed each bottle's label, according to a news release.

Proceeds from the sale of the bottles will benefit 21st Century Parks, which preserves and develops parkland, in Louisville and My New Kentucky Home Habitat for Humanity in Central Kentucky, which plans to build a home in Marion County in 2012. Employees from the distillery are volunteering to help build the home.
