University of Kentucky: Taft A. McKinstry, managing member of Fowler Measle & Bell, has been appointed to serve on the College of Law Visiting Committee. The committee includes active alumni from government, legal and business sectors. The members meet regularly with the dean, faculty and students of the college to discuss and provide guidance to the college.

Whitaker Bank: Joe Arnold has been named area president of Whitaker Bank in Georgetown.

Health care

Frankfort Regional Medical Center: Dr. Steve R. Vallanae of Frankfort has received a three-year appointment as cancer liaison physician for the center's cancer program.

Morgan & Pottinger: Sarah Sheeran Mattingly has joined the firm as an associate. Her practice is concentrated in the areas of commercial transactions, including commercial loan documentation, commercial litigation, real estate and banking regulations.

Kentucky Board of Bar Examiners: Elizabeth S. Feamster, a member at Fowler Measle & Bell, has been appointed to a three-year term on the board.

Lexington Legends Professional Baseball: Courtney Sockman has been named account executive. Tyler Walker has been named group sales executive. Tyler Duncan has been named merchandise manager.

Kentucky Employers' Mutual Insurance: Elizabeth Paul has been promoted to director of field services. She has been with KEMI since 2008 and previously served as premium audit manager.

Lexington Building Supply Co./Bluegrass Truss Co.: Mike Meehan has been named chief executive officer and director of sales and operations for the affiliated companies. He previously was vice president and general manager of the Lexington division of Kentucky-Indiana Lumber Co.

Wells Fargo Insurance Services: Myron E. Coldiron has joined the Lexington office as a commercial sales executive.
