Kentucky Horse Park to get national dressage championship

The U.S. Dressage Federation announced Sunday that the Kentucky Horse Park has been selected to host a national dressage championship beginning in fall 2013.

The championships will pit competitors who have qualified through regional championships from training level through Grand Prix.

"This is indeed an exciting day for American dressage and in particular, our adult amateur competitors," said George Williams, USDF president.

The federation's headquarters are at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
