The Human Rights Campaign — a national lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender advocacy group — announced the results of its Corporate Equality Index on Thursday.
Eight Kentucky-based companies were included in the group's index, which rates companies on 40 specific policies and practices.
Louisville-based Brown-Forman received a score of 100 percent. Others were Lexmark International, 90 percent; Humana, 90 percent; Yum Brands, 45 percent; Ashland, 15 percent; General Cable, 15 percent; Kindred Healthcare, 15 percent; and Omnicare, 0 percent.
