■ Lexmark International has opened a new regional office in Moscow to help meet the increased demand for its products in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The growing interest of customers, partners and suppliers led to the company's decision to establish its own presence in this market.
■ Apple Market, a regionally based chain of convenience stores, has opened at 867 South Broadway. The store offers a drive-thru window where patrons can buy anything in the gas station, including cigarettes, frozen yogurt and milk. Apple Market is operated by Workman Oil Co., which is co-owned by brothers-in-law Robert Workman Jr. and Warner Hall. There are 45 Apple convenience stores in southwest Virginia and Eastern Kentucky.
