Northern Kentucky newspaper The Kentucky Enquirer will be printed in Columbus, Ohio, beginning late next year as part of a format change.
Parent company Gannett announced this week that The Columbus Dispatch will begin printing the paper and affiliated publication The Cincinnati Enquirer in the smaller format, which is 10½ inches by 142⁄3 inches. The change is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2012.
The move will lead to the closing of The Enquirer's production plant in that same quarter.
"Our readers will find format and graphic changes, including fuller use of color and photographs, a more compact and easy-to-handle size, bolder section fronts and inside pages that are easier to navigate," Margaret Buchanan, president and publisher of The Cincinnati Enquirer, said in a statement.
