The Kentucky Small Business Administration honored Community Ventures Corp. with awards touting its amount of loans on Tuesday.
The organization received gold medal awards for its SBA microbusiness lending, which are small, short-term loans, and SBA 504 economic development loans targeted to small businesses.
"For the 10th year in a row, CVC has done something no other organization has done — provide more microloans than anyone else in the commonwealth," said Phillip Danhauer of Kentucky's district office of the U.S. Small Business Administration. "Not only that, they continue to provide these loans to more people than any other organization in the nation."
Two employees, Kim Bennett of the organization's office in Frankfort and Robert Heil of the Louisville operations, were given "All-Star" recognitions.
