Fourteen women representing 10 Central Kentucky counties have been nominated for county Impact Awards presented by the Bluegrass Alliance for Women during its celebration of Women's History Month.
The nominees are: Barbara Horseman, Anderson County; Cari Calico, Boyle County; Kitty Strode, Clark County; Robin Fisher and Rosazlyn Akins, both of Fayette County; Amy Nance and Virginia Collfield, both of Franklin County; Teresa Dowes, Estill County, Beth Dotson Brown and Maggie Mick, both of Garrard County; Mary Maggard, Jessamine County; Holly Dye, Madison County; and Mary Jane Phelps and Joy Arnold, both of Woodford County.
One nominee will be selected as the recipient of the Legacy Award.
The awards will be presented during BAW's annual luncheon from noon to 1:30 p.m. March 20 at the Clarion Hotel Lexington, 1950 Newtown Pike. The speaker will be Kentucky first lady Jane Beshear.

The awards recognize women who are furthering the BAW mission of creating grass-roots opportunities that empower women and girls in the areas of economic sufficiency, education, health and well-being, equity, and leadership.
