Edward Jones: Winchester businessman Carmack Kersey has been named a principal with the company. He is one of only 37 people — from more than 42,000 associates — named principal.

Community Trust Bancorp: Nick A. Cooley, a member of the bank's board of directors since 1980, has retired effective Jan. 29.

Stoll Keenon Ogden: Allison J. Donovan has been promoted to a member of the firm. She practices law in the area of business services with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.

Organizations

Kentucky Bar Association: Amy D. Cubbage, Of Counsel at the Lexington office of McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie & Kirkland, has been elected to the KBA Board of Governors. She will serve a two-year term beginning July 1, representing the 4th Supreme Court District.

Commercial Property Association of Lexington: The following have been named officers and board of director members for 2013: Will Berkley, president; Clarence Cundiff, vice president; DeWitt Hisle, treasurer; Harold Tate, secretary; Saundra Douglass, executive secretary; Clay Angelucci; Peter Barr; John Cole; Jeff England; Branden Gross; Lamar Hight; Amy Mellinger; Billy Smith; and Todd Stockwell.

Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education: Pam Miller, Lexington, and Dan Flanagan, Campbellsville, have been re-elected chair and vice chair, respectively, to the state's higher education and adult education coordinating agency.
