WINCHESTER — LifePoint Hospitals said Thursday that Cherie Sibley has been appointed the new CEO of its Clark Regional Medical Center. Sibley is to start May 6, replacing interim executive Ron Tyrer, who took over for former CEO Kathy Love. The company has not disclosed what prompted Love to leave.
"Cherie is a rising star at LifePoint and brings a stellar background in both clinical and operational leadership to Clark Regional Medical Center," said Scott Raplee, president of LifePoint's Central Group, of which the Clark medical center is a part. Sibley has had executive leadership roles at three LifePoint hospitals. She comes to Winchester from the 250-bed Danville Regional Medical Center in Danville, Va., where she has been chief operating officer since 2010.
Sibley holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama and a master's in business administration from South University in Montgomery, Ala.
Through its subsidiaries, Tennessee-based LifePoint Hospitals operates 57 hospitals in 20 states.
