Ever thought about raising fish for fun and profit? Kentucky State University will have an aquaculture field day and workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 16 at the KSU Center for Sustainability of Farms and Families, 1525 Mills Lane in Frankfort.
Indoor and pondside talks will focus on production of largemouth bass, paddlefish, catfish, koi, trout, Australian red claw crayfish and freshwater prawns. There also will be discussions on aquaponics, aquaculture economics and marketing, pond management, and hands-on cage construction. All events are free.
