The Center for Rural Development's Your Center of Learning training program includes a new series of professional, instructor-led classes, including full-day and first-time-ever lunch-and-learn sessions as well as evening and Saturday programming.

Events

Glimpse the future of agriculture using algae at GLIMPSE 2020, the 29th Annual Alltech International Symposium, May 19-22 at various sites in Lexington.

Algae-focused breakout sessions include "Simplify Your Food Chain: Algae as the Foundation of Nutrition in the Future"; "You Are What You Eat: Better Health Through Better Nutrition and the Role of DHA"; and "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better: Identifying the Opportunities for Value-Added Products."

Cost is $850. Two paid registrations from a single company or organization will receive a third registration free of charge. Delegates who are members of ARPAS and AAVSB can also earn CEUs.

Frankfort/Bluegrass ARMA Chapter will meet 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. May 16 and will present the Certified Records Manager Examination Preparation Workshop at the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives, 300 Coffee Tree Road, Frankfort.

The workshop is being presented by Kathy Adair, Huron Consulting Group; Missy O'Brien, Archival Supervisor, Louisville Metro Archives & Records Center; and Roger Hamperian, president of Frankfort-Bluegrass ARMA. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. with coffee, juice, and donuts provided. Lunch is also provided. Cost for members is $55, non-members $70. Meetings

Lexington Chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners will meet at 11:30 a.m. May 21 at Sal's in the Lansdowne Shoppes on Tates Creek Road. The Military Officers Association of America's quarterly meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. May 30 at Thompson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore.
