Carla Guthrie, Lantern program director at Morning Pointe of Lexington, has been named Professional Caregiver of the Year for 2013 by the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Guthrie has worked in memory care for 15 years. She became involved in the field after her father was diagnosed with the disease. She is also a certified master trainer in the Best Friends Approach in memory care.

H. Trigg Mitchell, a senior associate in the Lexington office of McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie & Kirkland, has received an AV Martindale- Hubbell Peer Review RatingTM.

McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie & Kirkland is celebrating 50 years in business. W. Terry McBrayer began practicing law in 1963 in his hometown of Greenup. Now, McBrayer has offices in Lexington, Louisville, Greenup, Frankfort and Washington, D.C.
