Who kicks you-know-what? Apparently advertising executive Whit Hiler does. Business Insider recently named Hiler, of Cornet-IMS, number 17 out of "the 24 Most Creative People in Advertising Right Now."

Last year, the "Kentucky Kicks Ass" campaign (done by Hiler and Bullhorn's Griffin VanMeter) went viral in an (as yet unsuccessful) attempt to convince the state to change its motto from "Unbridled Spirit" to his edgier slogan. Also noted: his efforts to sell ad space in beards and an unorthodox but successful campaign via "LinkedIn" to win A&W's business.

In Hiler's citation on the list, Business Insider wrote: "Of all the nominations we looked at in assembling these rankings, Whit Hiler was far and away the person we most wanted to be friends with."
