United Bank: Jeremy Gray has joined the Versailles bank as assistant vice president, commercial lender.

Century Mortgage Co.: Racee Greene has joined the company's Lexington branch office as a mortgage loan originator.


American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials: Mike Hancock, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet secretary, has been elected president of the nonprofit, nonpartisan association representing transportation agencies in the 50 states, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Hancock is the fourth Kentuckian to serve as the group's president, following Thomas H. Cutler (1936-37), D.H. Bray (1961) and James C. Codell III (2003).

Association of Appraiser Regulatory Officials: Larry Disney, executive director of the Kentucky Real Estate Appraisers Board, has been elected president of the association for 2013-14. The group's membership is made up of the agency responsible for the licensing and regulation of real property appraisers in each of the states and territories of the United States. Linda Watt and Dr. Robert Granacher have been appointed to the board members representing Fayette County.

The Kentucky Craft History and Education Association: The following have been named to the board of directors: Bob Gates, Frankfort, founder and former director of the Kentucky Folklife Program; Larry Isenhour, Lexington, architect with Green Scheme Design; Betsy Tyrrell, Louisville, a former reporter at The Courier-Journal; and Allan Weiss, Louisville, mediator, arbitrator, researcher, and folk art collector and historian. They each have agreed to serve a one-year term offered to new board members in consideration of a full three-year term. Other board members include: founding president Susan Goldstein, Lexington; president Fran Redmon, Frankfort; secretary Nancy Atcher, Frankfort; treasurer Philis Alvic, Lexington; Lila Bellando, Berea; Richard Bellando, Berea; and Mary Reed, Irvine.

Midwest Drycleaning & Laundry Association: J.B. Carrico of Springfield Laundry in Springfield and a senior partner in Romany Road Cleaners in Lexington, has been elected president of the association. Danny Snyder, Emperors Cleaners of Lexington, has been named to the board.


Newport Aquarium: Jeff Geiser has been named public relations manager. He has served in various marketing communications roles, including stints with the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, National Football League, University of Cincinnati athletics department and, most recently, IMG College Publishing in Lexington.
