Lexington seeks public input on Time Warner cable service

The Urban County Government wants to hear from residents about their experience with cable television provider Time Warner as it begins to negotiate its contract with the provider. The first of several public meetings to get community input will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 9 in the council chambers at the Government Center. Other public hearings will follow.

Lexington is operating under the existing franchise with Time Warner, which took over when it bought Insight last year. The existing franchise dates to 1992, when the provider was TeleCable. No decision has been reached about the length of the new franchise.
