UBS Financial Services: Dustin G. Kostalek has been promoted to financial adviser. He will partner with first vice president wealth management Peter S. McFarland.

Organizations

The Kentucky Horse Council: The following have been elected to the council's board of directors for terms beginning in 2014: Elizabeth Caldwell; Becky Cox; Darryl Leifheit; Tandy Patrick; C.A. Shea Porr; and Renée Roberts. The following have been named KHC officers: Anna Zinkhon, president; Chad Mendell, vice-president; Ted Kuster, treasurer; and Erin Woodall, secretary.

National Association of Local Long Term Care Ombudsman: Sherry Culp, executive director of the Nursing Home Ombudsman Agency of the Bluegrass, has been named a member of the 2013-2014 NALTTCO's board of directors representing Kentucky. Culp has been a long term care ombudsman since 1996. She manages and trains 30 certified ombudsman staff and numerous volunteers at the Nursing Home Ombudsman Agency of the Bluegrass, a freestanding nonprofit agency in Central Kentucky that focuses on local ombudsman services and community education.

Elkhorn Baptist Association: The Rev. David W. Stokes, pastor of the Baptist Church at Andover since 2008, has been elected executive director of the association effective Jan. 1. Elkhorn Baptist Association is comprised of 86 Baptist churches and church plants in the Central Kentucky area.

GAAN Technologies: Frank Goad has been named marketing and sales manager for the information technology support firm. He brings more than three decades of IT experience to the 14-year-old, Central Kentucky company.
