The new wing of Fayette Mall opened with a rush ... of people.

Mall spokeswoman Sarah Enlow said Friday that customers were lining up as early as 4 a.m., "sitting outside, waiting for our doors to open. ... There were probably 450 people at least, just waiting for H&M to open."

H&M is a Sweden-based company known for its "fast-fashion" clothing. The H&M store carries women's, men's, children's and athletic wear.

The Woodford County Middle School choir performed for the opening, singing the national anthem and My Old Kentucky Home.

Enlow said the traffic at other new stores is "pretty crazy as well."

Other stores in the new wing include Altar'd State, Janie and Jack, Jos. A. Bank. Vera Bradley, Swarovski, L'Occitane en Provence, Aveda, Clark's, Oakley, Eddie Bauer and Zales.

Santa also arrived at Fayette Mall on Friday.
