Country Club Prep, which offers self-described preppy apparel and merchandise, has opened at 807 Euclid Avenue, in the former site of New Editions Gallery. Founders Matt Watson and Stephen Glasgow opened their first store in Charlottesville, Va., and this new store, filled with bourbon barrels and touches of Southern style, is set to be the prototype for more stores. The Holiday Market has opened at the Kentucky Market Pavilion in Owingsville. The market offers local foods and crafts from regional Kentucky vendors. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. The Kentucky Market Pavilion is under the management of the Center for Appalachian Philanthropy and located at 2914 East U.S. 60. The phone number is (606) 674-6688.

SRC of Lexington has announced plans to expand its operations in Fayette County. The remanufacturer of engines, drive engine components and hydraulics for industrial equipment is expected to create up to 50 jobs and invest nearly $1.9 million in the project. In addition to the new jobs, SRC plans to renovate and expand its facility on Eastland Drive. SRC opened its Lexington facility in 2009 and now has 100 employees.
