A new restaurant, The Macho Nacho, is coming to a corner of Euclid Avenue and East High Street that has been closed for at least a year. The upscale Tex-Mex original concept, will open in September, according to owner Aaron Rothke.
He said the restaurant at 854 East High will offer delivery to the University of Kentucky campus, local hospitals, downtown and in the nearby Chevy Chase area.
The Macho Nacho will feature 24 beers, include local crafts, on tap and 69 tequilas. Signature dishes will include nachos, of course.
The building was formerly the Glenn's Creek Beer Exchange, and before that it was Buddy's Bar & Grill. It was also the site of The Saratoga, a famous Lexington eatery.
