Eastern Kentucky University will host a workshop on technology-led economic development strategies from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Aug. 5 in the Gearhart Auditorium on the Prestonsburg campus of Big Sandy Technical College and Aug. 6 at EKU's Manchester campus. The workshop will teach private and public-sector representatives who work in economic development new strategies to integrate broadband technology as a component of their communities' economic bases, create new job opportunities and fuel economic growth.
