Authorities are looking for an inmate who escaped from the Marion Adjustment Center in Lebanon Sunday night.

Kentucky State Police in Columbia said William P. Monroe, 30, of Harlan County walked away from the jail about 9 p.m.

Monroe is white, six feet tall and about 178 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information about Monroe is asked to call the state police or local police.
