Missing Fayette jail inmate Hanna Gail Stivers was returned to the jail at 10:15 a.m. Friday, after she was arrested by Lexington police.

After she was released on a work pass Sept. 20, Stivers didn't return to the jail as required.

Stivers faces probation violation and escape charges, jail officials said in a news release.

Stivers' return followed that of a two-time escapee whom police arrested Thursday. Ashley Marler, 31, escaped from a medical transport Monday, police said. She also escaped Sept. 16, when she failed to return from a court-ordered medical pass. She was caught two days later.

Marler is being held on her original charges, two counts of receiving stolen property, plus nonpayment of fines, failure to appear in court, a probation violation and second-degree escape.
