Lexington Fire Prevention parade, festival set for Sunday

The Lexington Fire Prevention Parade and Festival will be held downtown Sunday afternoon. The festival, which includes free children's activities, is from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza.

The parade begins at 6:45 p.m. The Run to Remember will be held at 5 p.m.

Main Street and side streets will be closed between Walton Avenue and Mill Street beginning at 6 p.m. Midland Avenue will be closed between East Third and Main streets beginning at 5:30 p.m. The events serve as a kickoff to Fire Prevention Week.
