Shots were fired outside a Lexington apartment complex early Thursday morning in what police say was a drug-related incident.
No one was injured, and no arrests have been made, police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.
Officers were sent to the Liberty Heights Apartments on Liberty Road just after 5 a.m. for reports of shots being fired.
Roberts said witnesses told police that a party going on in one apartment "got out of control."

A woman apparently was assaulted by two men in the parking lot outside, and when a third man tried to help her, someone shot at him, Roberts said.
"At this point we think it may have been drug-related," she said.
