Police are searching for a man who allegedly fired several shots Sunday afternoon on Gay Place in Lexington.
Officers went to the street about 4:10 p.m. Sunday, after reports of four shots being fired, police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.
No one was hit, but a parked car was damaged by gunfire, she said.
Roberts said witnesses reported seeing a bald man in a blue sweatshirt driving away in white Hyundai.

Officers later spotted the car, but the driver ran off when they approached, she said.
Police searched the car and found what Roberts described as "simulated drugs." She said dealers sometimes include such harmless materials in their products as a way of boosting profits.
Some shell casings also were recovered on Gay Place.
