A Madison County furniture store was destroyed by fire Saturday.
The owner of Ol' Kentucky Furniture on U.S. 25 had stepped outside for about 10 minutes Saturday morning, said Captain Rodney Dixon of the Madison County Fire Department.
"He looked back and there was smoke and flames coming out," Dixon said.
The fire was reported at about 11:40 a.m.

Dixon said the ceiling collapsed on the business and everything inside was ruined.
"It's completely gone," he said.
Dixon said a fire wall separated the furniture store from an auction house in the back.
He said that business did have some smoke and water damage, but if not for the fire wall, the auction house and antiques inside would also have burned.
Dixon said a space heater was plugged in at the furniture business, but the cause of the fire is still unknown.
