Laurel County authorities arrested a 41-year-old woman after finding her intoxicated with two young children at her cluttered home.
Vicki Johnson is charged with second-degree wanton endangerment, and third-degree criminal abuse of a child younger than 12, according to the Laurel County Sheriff's Department. The charges are misdemeanors.
Deputies said they went to the home eight miles south of London early Thursday morning after being told that a mother there was highly intoxicated.
Deputies determined that Johnson was drunk, and the house was extremely cluttered with trash and cigarette butts, according to the sheriff's office. There was no food available for the two children. Johnson also stated that she had taken hydrocodone and had been drinking throughout the day.

A 6-year-old was sleeping on a box-spring mattress with several pill bottles in reach, and a 10-month-old infant was in a crib with a bottle containing milk that had turned to clabber, the sheriff's office said.
The children were removed by social services and Johnson was being held in the Laurel County jail, officials said.
