The victim in a fatal Madison County crash Tuesday died from a medical emergency that occurred while he was driving, Kentucky State Police confirmed Wednesday.
Jeffrey Grider, 52, of Berea ran his Ford Escape off Ky. 21 near Paint Lick, and the vehicle struck a culvert about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Grider died at Saint Joseph Hospital in Berea.
An investigation indicated that Grider "died as a result of a medical emergency that happened while he was operating his vehicle, which led to the collision," state police at the Richmond post said in a news release.
