One person was taken to a hospital Wednesday after an SUV overturned on Palumbo Drive, Lexington police said.
The driver, whom police did not identify, was southbound on Palumbo when she ran off the road, struck a fire hydrant, then overcorrected and struck three parked vehicles, police spokeswoman Sgt. Ann Welch said.
The driver was wearing her seat belt and was suspended upside down inside the SUV when first responders arrived. Firefighters had to use extraction equipment to free her from the wreck.
She was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.
The crash occurred at 1 p.m. Wednesday in front of Kentucky Indiana Lumber Co.
