The Jessamine County Beef Cattle Association will serve beef burgers and rib-eye steaks for lunch and dinner at its last cookout of the year on Friday and Saturday at the Tractor Supply parking lot in Nicholasville. The association is comprised of Jessamine County citizens interested in promoting beef and beef products and is a focal point for the agricultural community in the county. The association donated more than $17,000 to 11 charitable organizations in Jessamine County. The association meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month at the Jessamine County Agricultural Center, 95 Park Drive, Nicholasville. Art gallery announces new hours
The Art Depository, a gallery of local and regional art and artisan crafts, has new hours and is now open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. More than 25 artists and artisans are represented by traditional paintings, prints, photography, pottery, wood turnings and other media.
