Eat rainbows, plant vegetables

The Woodford County Library, 115 North Main Street, Versailles, will host the following events. Call (859) 873-5191.

■ a Rainbow Party at 1 p.m. Saturday. Children ages 2 to 7 will do the Color Hop, watch rainbows form, and eat rainbows. The party is free, but registration is required. Call (859) 873-5191.

■ a Teen Game Tournament at 7 p.m. Saturday. Youth in grades six through 12 can try a variety of video games. The event is free, but registration is required.

■ free class in basic Microsoft Word 6:30 p.m. Monday. Registration is required.

■ John Walker of Kitchen Gardeners Bluegrass at 1 p.m. Saturday will outline ways to begin a vegetable garden. The event is free.

Race to aid student

The Woodford County Social Action Club will host a 5K Run/Walk with registration beginning at 8 a.m. March 22 at the Falling Springs Cross Country Course and Huffman Pavilion, Beasley Road, Versailles. Entry fee is $20; participants receive a T-shirt.

Register online at or pick up a race packet from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. March 20 and 21 in the Woodford County High School lobby, 180 Frankfort Street.
