The Paris-Bourbon County YMCA at 917 Main Street in Paris is currently accepting registrations for two eight-week programs for youths in cheerleading, tumbling and volleyball.

Historic Paris-Bourbon County will sponsor a presentation by author and lecturer Robert W. M. McLaughlin on Kentucky's covered bridges at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hopewell Museum, 800 Pleasant Street in Paris. The Frankfort native will discuss the origins, history, design features and types of covered bridges. Artist Pat Rawlings will display some of her work featuring these structures.
