Talk about books, quilts, travel

■ A book discussion group for adults will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The group will talk about The Known World by Edward Jones. Copies are available at the library.

■ The next Pig Skull Father-Son Book Group will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday.

■ The Elkhorn Creek Quilters will hold the sixth annual Sit and Sew Quilt Show from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday

■ Tuesday Travels will meet at the library at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Robin Mountain with Ntaba Tours will talk about the diverse and picturesque culture of South Africa. Tuesday Travels meets the third Tuesday of each month.

Art show

An exhibit titled ”The Metamorphosis of Identity: Nina Buxenbaum, Gaela Erwin, and Chris Twomey“ is now on display at Georgetown College's Anne Wright Wilson Fine Arts Gallery, at the corner of Mulberry and College Streets. Book donations sought

The Georgetown Scott County Senior Activity Center needs book donations for the Wormhole bookstore. The non-profit store is located behind the Cardome Centre, 800 Cincinnati Pike. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call (502) 863-4041. All proceeds from book sales go to the senior center.

Consignment sale

The Grace Christian Center MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) spring children's consignment sale will be 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace Christian Center, 1648 Lexington Road, Georgetown. Consignors and volunteers can shop early on Friday evening. Items available include gently used spring and summer children's clothing (infant to size 16), maternity clothing, shoes, baby equipment, room décor, furniture, toys and books, videos and DVDs, educational software and video games, indoor and outdoor play equipment, riding toys, bikes, and sports equipment.
